The Ascension Island Government (AIG) is pleased to announce that the Conservation and Fisheries Directorate have published the Annual Review of the Ascension Island Marine Protected Area (MPA) Management Plan for the period of January 2023 to December 2024.
The review tracks delivery against the Management Plan’s actions and research priorities, highlighting some results and findings for the reported period. It also reports on progress made with most Year-3 targets reported as either met or in progress, and the review notes the next steps for 2025 and 2026 with an updated list of targets.
