CEF 11 2025 Ladies Hairdresser

I have been approached by a few constituents to ask what the possibility of AIG providing a full time ladies hairdresser here on the island?

I do understand the situation AIG is in with the deficit, but like I have mentioned, every little bit of income would help, if there is a way to make this profitable, why not explore it?

AIG response:

Thank you for your enquiry. As you may be aware, after you submitted your enquiry, the US Base contractor posted a notice on social media advising it is in the process of onboarding a ladies’ hairdresser, and that the service will be open to the island community. We have subsequently confirmed this with the V2X Station Manager and hope this will meet the community’s needs.

We did, however, run some preliminary cost modelling which suggested that providing a subsidised, or wholly funded, hairdressing service would not generate a net income for AIG. You have noted the current budgetary deficit which means that provision of this service, particularly given the US Base option, is not something AIG would consider funding.
