Question

CEF 21 2025 – Improvements to area around MUGA

You asked: I have had a request come through to check if there’s a possibility for AIG to fit some hand rails to the steps leading down to the MUGA from Two Boats Club?
Also there was another request for removing the old dried Mexican thorn trees and the standing trees surrounding the MUGA, those using the facility buy their own balls, but the Mexican thorn trees are puncturing them once they go over the fence. As an example, 4 brand new balls was bought for the tournament a few weeks ago, and all four of those balls got punctured on the same day.

One other request is to see if a light can be fitted to shine down the hill above the community centre above the community centre, possibly fitted to the swimming pool. This is to allow sufficient light when needing to walk down the hill to fetch the ball that’s been kicked over the fence, there has already bee an accident whereby a participant fell and damaged his leg due to poor lighting.

AIG Responded: I can confirm that the following requests have been placed with our helpdesk, and will be actioned before the end of March:

• Installation of hand rails on the steps leading down to the MUGA from Two Boats Club;
• Removal of Mexican thorn trees surrounding the MUGA;
• Installation of a light, possibly fitted to the swimming pool to illuminate the hill near the MUGA.
