The Ascension Island Government (AIG) would like to inform the public that the Sea and Land Rescue Service will be participating in a Crew and Coxswain Development course from 27 November to 16 December 2025.
External trainer, Mr. Graeme Harding, will be on-island to facilitate and present this training course and assessment for the Sea and Land Rescue volunteers. The training combines theory with practical exercises, featuring both sea and land scenarios. It will
take place in the evenings from Tuesday through Friday, and during daylight hours on the weekends.
You may notice increased activity in and around the training areas, which may resemble real incidents. Please be assured that these are planned training exercises.
