Successful GCSE results at Two Boats School

The Ascension Island Government is pleased to announce the successful GCSE results achieved by Two Boats School students.
This year’s students achieved:
- 43% 9 -4 grades across all subjects compared to 41% last year
- 50% 9 -4 grades in Maths compared to 38% last year
- 63% 9 -4 grades in English compared to 33% last year
- 38% above the benchmark of 5 (9-4 grades) including Maths and English
- This year, students sat exams in Marine Science, with 100% 9-4 grades
- Travel and Tourism was also a first, with 75% 9-4 grades
Two Boats School Head Teacher, Tania Maggott, said:
“We are proud of our students and their achievements, they have shown true perseverance and resilience and should be very proud of themselves. It goes without saying that I would like to thank the staff team for their dedication and commitment to the students, As well as to the parents for their ongoing support to their children and the school. Congratulations and best wishes to all students for their next chapter.”
On the results, Administrator Simon Minshull said:
"These results reflect our students’ determination, the support of their families, and the commitment of their teachers. Two Boats School students are a credit to our community, and we look forward to seeing all that they will go on to achieve."
